Disney+ appoints Philip Pratt to lead originals in Germany, Switzerland and Austria
Philip Pratt, who spent 11 years at Amazon MGM Studios, is moving to Disney+.
He will become vice-president of original production for Germany, Switzerland and Austria, based in Munich.
Pratt previously led Amazon’s original productions in Germany, including the hit series Maxton Hall.
He will take over from Benjamina Mirnik-Voges, who is leaving the role.
Pratt is due to join Disney in early 2027 and will oversee which shows Disney+ commissions in the three countries.
Disney is aiming to triple its number of international originals over the next three years.
His appointment is part of that push, and he will work with producers and other creative talent across the region.
