Nusantara to Host Borneo Economic Forum in 2027
Nusantara, Indonesia’s capital city under development in East Kalimantan, will host the Borneo Economic Forum in 2027.
It will be the forum’s third edition, after events in 2023 and 2026.
The gathering brings together businesses, policymakers and other participants from Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
They discuss trade, investment, transport links and other ways to strengthen economic cooperation across Borneo.
Nusantara is in the second phase of development, which is planned to run from 2025 to 2029.
Its authority says the city is intended to support a new economic hub as well as serve as a government center.
Hosting the forum will give Nusantara a chance to present investment opportunities and help businesses explore possible partnerships.
