Geddy Lee Dedicates RUSH Song to His Holocaust Survivor Mother

Lee said the song was inspired by a story he told drummer Neil Peart about his mother’s wartime survival.

Weinrib was a Holocaust survivor who was imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps, including Auschwitz.

Lee dedicated the song on the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel.

The tribute connected the song’s origins to his mother’s experience.
