Frank Carter has man removed after dispute over women’s mosh pit in Denver
At a Sex Pistols concert at Denver’s Ogden Theatre on Friday, singer Frank Carter set aside part of the mosh pit for women.
The space is intended to let people dance without fear of being hit, groped or intimidated.
A man in the crowd objected as Carter explained the idea, and the two argued from the stage.
Carter said women cannot safely join every mosh pit because they may be hit by other people.
He called security and asked them to remove the man.
Carter later said the space is trans-inclusive and meant for people who do not usually feel safe in mosh pits.
He has set aside a women-only pit at shows during the band’s North American tour.
