Alanis Morissette announces her first holiday album, due Nov. 6

Alanis Morissette has announced her first full-length holiday album, Good Weather for Immaculate Conception.

It is due Nov.

6 and will have 14 tracks.

The collection combines holiday standards and covers with two new songs, “Christmas on the Dance Floor” and “To an Empath at Christmas Time.”

Its lead track, “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem,” features Brandi Carlile and Steve Martin.

Other guests include Joy Oladokun, Amythyst Kiah, Martin Short and Trans Voices, a UK vocal ensemble of trans and nonbinary singers.

Morissette has released holiday covers in previous years, and the album brings several of those recordings together.

It follows her 2022 album The Storm Before the Calm; no further plans for the holiday album were announced.
