Ratinho Jr. backs Flávio Bolsonaro in Brazil’s presidential runoff
Ratinho Jr. announced on Saturday that he supports Flávio Bolsonaro in Brazil’s presidential runoff.
The race is between Bolsonaro, a senator, and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Ratinho Jr. is a politician from Paraná state and belongs to the PSD party.
He said he had spoken with Bolsonaro and São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, and that they would work together for Brazil’s future.
The announcement came two days after Sandro Alex, the candidate Ratinho Jr. backed for Paraná governor, also supported Bolsonaro.
The PSD has allowed its members to support either Bolsonaro or Lula, and some party branches back Lula.
Ratinho Jr.’s support adds another endorsement for Bolsonaro ahead of the runoff.
