Brazilian banking group warns of scams using its name

Febraban is an association representing financial institutions, not a lender or a service that contacts bank customers.

It says scammers are pretending to be the group in messages about fake suspicious transactions and in offers of cheap loans.

They may seek personal details or ask people to pay fees before a loan is released.

Febraban advises people to stop responding to suspicious contacts and never share passwords or send money.
