Zait expands factory as it expects Brazil’s farm sector to recover in 2027

Zait makes agricultural machinery and sensors, including products designed to reduce waste on farms.

The company was formed by the merger of two startups that had worked on farm automation and sensors for about 10 years.

It has brought production together at a 13,500-square-metre site in Piracicaba, São Paulo state, which is 10 times larger than its former facilities there.

Demand from farmers has been weak in 2026, and Zait expects revenue of 90 million reais, below its 100 million reais target.

The company is investing in new sensors and a fuel-monitoring device as it prepares for farmers to invest more in 2027.

Renovations costing 300,000 reais could allow it to produce up to three times as many machines.

Zait expects the new products and a recovery in farm spending to support future sales.
