Querrey and Johnson say Medvedev should keep Beijing points and prize money

Medvedev was defaulted from his Beijing semi-final after a ball he hit struck a spectator.

He lost his prize money and ranking points.

Former players Sam Querrey and Steve Johnson said the default was justified, but the financial and points penalties were too harsh because they did not believe he meant to hit anyone.

The lost points matter because Medvedev is trying to qualify for the year-end finals.
