‘Other Mommy’ film changes key scenes and ending from the novel

The horror film “Other Mommy” is based on Josh Malerman’s novel “Incidents Around the House.”

It changes several scenes, including adding a séance where a ghost-hunting group is killed.

It also shows a graphic death that the book reports happened offscreen.

The film ends with Bela defeating the demon and her family still together, unlike the book’s much darker ending.
