Morocco’s king calls for youth issues to lead government policy
King Mohammed VI called on Morocco’s public institutions to put young people at the centre of government policy.
He spoke in Rabat on Friday as he opened a new parliamentary session.

Young Moroccans have called for better public healthcare and education, and more jobs amid high youth unemployment.
The king urged new economic strategies, more private-sector investment and equal opportunities through education, skills development and economic inclusion.
He also said Morocco plans to present partners with a new vision for cooperation, including with Spain, after a July surge of migration into Spain’s Ceuta territory.
Opposition lawmakers said they will watch for specific action on the priorities he outlined.
