McDonald’s Switzerland brings back The Prime for its 50th anniversary

McDonald’s Switzerland is bringing back The Prime as part of its 50th anniversary.

The burger was created 12 years ago by TV chef René Schudel.

Customers chose it in a vote involving 10 burgers, beating options including the McZüriGeschnetzeltes and McRösti.

The Prime comes with one or two beef patties, Gruyère, bacon, coleslaw, rocket, tomato, onions, relish and Farmer sauce.

It is available nationwide for a limited time, starting Tuesday, while stocks last.

The return reflects the company’s anniversary and customers’ choice, while its recently introduced The M is no longer listed in the app or available at many branches.

In a Crissier branch, the single version costs 10.90 Swiss francs and the double costs 13 francs.
