UBS veteran Claudio Scarfone to retire at the end of October

UBS executive Claudio Scarfone will retire at the end of October 2026, after more than 25 years at the Swiss bank.

He held several leadership roles in UBS’s business with independent wealth managers, who use the bank’s custody, trading and investment services.

For many years, Scarfone led the business across German-speaking Switzerland, French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, as well as work with institutional financial intermediaries.

He also took responsibility for emerging markets in 2015.

After UBS took over Credit Suisse, the two banks’ business with independent wealth managers was reorganized, and Scarfone focused on French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino.

The business is important to UBS’s Swiss wealth management, and combining the two banks’ customer platforms has required close attention to client relationships.

Scarfone is due to leave UBS at the end of October 2026; no further next steps are given.
