Robert Pattinson Introduces ‘Primetime’ at London Film Festival
Robert Pattinson introduced his new film, “Primetime,” at the London Film Festival.
He stars as Chris Hansen, the former host of “To Catch a Predator,” and also produced the film.
The story follows Hansen as he takes the show, which sought to catch suspected child predators, into a primetime slot.
The film questions the ethics of the show’s methods, which drew backlash and ended in 2008.
Its filmmakers describe it as a stylized retelling, not a biopic, and Hansen has called it a complete work of fiction.
Pattinson said the script felt original, funny and dangerous, and that it convinced him to get involved.
The film has already opened in U.S. theaters and is set to release in the U.K. on Oct.
30.

Robert Pattinson’s a very good actor. And I think a lot of people would find it flattering that this guy would be cast to portray me
But the way it was done is certainly not flattering. And so what’s the larger point for Hollywood here?
