Road hockey organizer raises $330,000 for Toronto hospital
John Brezina helped raise $330,000 for Princess Margaret Hospital by playing in an annual road hockey tournament.
In 2018, breathing problems and fatigue during games led him to seek medical care, and he was diagnosed with leukemia.
The hospital treated him with chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, and he says he is now cured.
His story shows how a hobby can support a hospital and help someone notice a health problem.
