Netanyahu’s former aide alleges attempt to alter 7 October records

Avi Gil, a former aide to Benjamin Netanyahu, says the prime minister passed up chances to bring captives home.

Gil also alleges that Netanyahu’s chief of staff tried to change the recorded time of a call on the morning of the 7 October attack.

Netanyahu denies the claims.

The allegations matter because they raise questions about decisions on captives and records of when leaders were informed.
