Chinese automakers make the biggest gains in customer service satisfaction in Mexico
A J.D. Power study found that Chinese automakers made the biggest gains in customer satisfaction with vehicle service in Mexico.

BYD became the first Chinese brand to lead the study’s volume-market segment, while GMC ranked first in the premium segment for the second year in a row.
The study surveyed 6,530 owners of new vehicles who had visited an authorized dealer for maintenance or repairs in the previous 12 months.
It included brands such as BYD, MG, Chirey and JAC, but not Geely or GAC, which had entered the market more recently.
J.D. Power said many Chinese brands still have room to meet Mexican customers’ service expectations.
As cars rely more on software updates and specialized repairs, automakers and dealers will need the right technical skills and service capacity to earn customers’ trust.
