India seeks to protect military ties with US from trade tensions

A senior US naval officer visited India for six days and met with defence officials.

The visit comes as trade talks between the countries have stalled.

India hopes its growing military relationship with the US can continue despite disagreements over trade and India’s purchases of Russian oil.
