Marbach bridge replaced in 75 days using prefabricated parts

Workers built the new bridge in Marbach using parts made in advance and assembled on site.

The main construction took about 75 days, compared with roughly two years for similar projects.

Baden-Württemberg’s transport minister said the method could help replace other bridges more quickly.

The old bridge had age-related problems and vulnerable steel inside it.
