Houthis say they attacked Saudi energy facilities and airports
Yemen’s Houthi movement says it carried out four attacks in Saudi Arabia over the past 24 hours.
It says the strikes targeted two Saudi Aramco sites in the east of the country and airports in Riyadh and Dammam.
The Houthis also said they attacked areas where Saudi troops were deployed, and claimed dozens were killed or wounded.
The group said its attacks were in response to 124 airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen over the same period.
Saudi authorities said an attack on Riyadh airport on October 10 killed 12 people and injured 309, while the coalition said a projectile hit the airport’s passenger terminal and caused a fire.
The Houthis said airport navigation was suspended and Riyadh airport was completely closed, but that claim was not confirmed by Saudi authorities in the information provided.
The Houthis have urged international airlines and passengers not to use Saudi airports, which they have declared targets.
