‘Dark Matter’ season 2 builds a new story beyond the book

The first season of “Dark Matter” followed the story of Blake Crouch’s novel.

For season 2, Crouch and his team had to invent a new story.

They also gave more attention to characters beyond the main family.

That let the show explore more of its world while keeping the focus on its characters.
