German crime drama SOKO sold to 12 broadcasters this year

The long-running German crime series SOKO has been licensed to 12 broadcasters this year.

Buyers include Walter Presents in the UK, RTL Croatia, Talpa in the Netherlands and Canal+.

The sales were announced as the Cannes MIPCOM television market began.

SOKO is one of public broadcaster ZDF’s most successful crime dramas, and its latest season premiered on 2 October.

ZDF Studios said it had sold more than 500 hours of programming to buyers in over 20 territories so far in 2026.

The company also sold established series and younger-audience shows, including the vampire series Love Sucks.

Its scripted titles are being presented to international buyers at MIPCOM, where the company says interest in German series remains strong.
