Studiocanal Takes International Distribution of ‘kiDnap Game’
“kiDnap Game” is an 11-part survival thriller series created and directed by Japan’s Yusuke Kato.
It follows seven strangers from different countries after kidnappings take place at the same time in Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha and Manila.
Each person is told that only one kidnapped loved one can be saved, and must complete a different mission to try to rescue them.
The strangers begin to question why they were chosen and who is behind the kidnappings.
The series stars Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi and South Korean actor Lee Joon-gi, and was produced by companies from Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea.
It premiered on Fuji TV in Japan on October 6 and launched in 28 Asian territories.
