‘Everest: The Other Side’ explores risk during a North Face climb and ski descent

The film follows mountaineer-skiers Jim Morrison and Hilaree Nelson as they try to climb Everest’s North Face and ski down.

Only five people had reached the summit from that side before, according to the article.

Directors Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin said filming at extreme altitude required a team skilled in both climbing and camera work.

The film also explores the risks of dangerous pursuits and how people think about mortality.
