Senate president schedules vote on proposal to end six-day work week

The 6x1 schedule means working six days and getting one day off.

A proposed constitutional amendment would reduce the work week from 44 to 40 hours and end that schedule.

Senate president Davi Alcolumbre says senators will vote on it on October 14.

The proposal is a point of debate between presidential candidates Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro, who supports a different, flexible-hours plan.
