Fallout 4 has seven DLC packs, including settlement-building add-ons

Fallout 4 has seven downloadable add-ons, released since the game came out in 2015.

They include three workshop packs, three story expansions and a high-resolution texture pack available only on PC.

The game is set in the Commonwealth, where players can explore and build settlements.

Contraptions Workshop adds machines, conveyor belts and factory-building options, but its manufacturing features have limited use in a typical playthrough.

Its armor and weapon displays may be more useful, and the guide says players who are not specifically interested in its niche features can skip it.

Wasteland Workshop adds more settlement decorations and lighting, as well as cages for trapping creatures such as Deathclaws and gorillas.

The add-ons offer different kinds of content, so their value depends on what players want from the game.
