AI driving game demo costs developers more than $1,000 a day to run
Easy Fox is developing Teach My Little Sister How To Drive, a game where players coach a virtual learner driver by speaking to an AI chatbot.
The studio says the demo’s player numbers grew more than twentyfold in the past month.
That surge has raised the cost of running the AI to more than $1,000 a day, according to Easy Fox.
The small development team says it has taken out a bank loan to keep the demo operating.
It may have to close the demo before the full game is released, but has not made that decision.
Easy Fox says it plans to include expected AI costs in the game’s price, rather than charging players separately for their use of the AI.
