Family-owned Vidal Golosinas sells sweets in 90 countries

Vidal Golosinas is a family-owned sweets maker based in Molina de Segura, in Spain’s Murcia region.

Three Hernández brothers started making sweets there in 1963 with savings from their father.

The company created products including chewing-gum melons and candy bricks, and now sells 2,400 kinds of sweets.

Its products reach 90 countries, which account for three-quarters of its revenue.

The business remains in the hands of the Hernández family, with three family branches each holding a 33% stake.

President and chief executive Paco Hernández says the company’s roots and product innovation help it compete.

It reports revenue of €250 million and operating profit of €50 million, and expects operating profit to rise in 2026.
