EOS wins £370m counter-drone contract, Bell Potter sees 36% upside

Electro Optic Systems Holdings, an Australian defence manufacturer, has agreed to supply a nationwide counter-drone system to a government in a Gulf state.

The £370 million deal is the largest contract the company has secured.

EOS will lead the project, integrating sensors and other equipment with an AI-enabled command platform.

The agreement has conditions, including a performance bond, a bank guarantee and export licences for system components.

EOS expects more than 80% of the contract revenue in the first 12 to 24 months after the deal becomes unconditional, with ongoing support continuing for four years.

Bell Potter kept its buy rating and raised its share-price target to A$13.80, which it said was 36% above the then-current price of A$10.13.

The broker expects implementation to begin in early 2027, but the deal must first meet its conditions.

Bell Potter also pointed to possible future orders and production deals as potential catalysts for EOS.

What people are saying

We are not discouraged by the export licence terms and believe it is likely EOS will proceed to implementation of the contract in early CY27e.

Given the security deposit posted in August 2026, we believe this contract award was somewhat priced in by the market, however, we are surprised by the market's reaction and given upcoming catalysts, believe current levels represent an attractive entry point.
