Identifai Genetics lists on the ASX after raising $10 million

Identifai Genetics, an Israel-based company, began trading on the Australian Securities Exchange after raising $10 million.

Its main product, Windrose, is a prenatal genetic test that uses a blood sample from the pregnant person.

The company says the test can assess fetal risk for conditions linked to more than 280 genes, including disorders that standard prenatal screening may not cover comprehensively.

Windrose is designed for use from about nine weeks of pregnancy and combines whole-genome sequencing, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence.

Identifai says some conditions it screens for may be treatable during pregnancy, and it hopes to launch the test in the United States in the coming months through a laboratory approval route.

The company’s shares opened 15% above their listing price.
