CSIF says it will not join general strike, citing timing before election campaign

CSIF is a union that represents public employees in Spain.

Its president, Miguel Borra, said the union will not take part in the general strike.

He argued that the strike is not focused only on work issues and comes just before the election campaign.

Borra also called for restored extra pay, more public workers and fairer salaries across regions.
