Four maritime authorities launch fast-track services for trusted container ships
Maritime authorities in Hainan, Nanning, Qinzhou and Beijiang have launched a shared “Credit Fast Track” scheme for container ships.
It covers routes connecting Yangpu with Tianjin, Qinzhou and the Pinglu Canal area of Nanning.
The scheme initially focuses on 21 ships, which must meet safety and compliance conditions to join the approved list.
These include having no maritime penalties or detentions in the past 24 months and no qualifying accidents in the past five years.
Approved ships can receive 23 services, including faster permits, priority berthing and fewer routine inspections.
The four authorities will recognise one another’s approved lists and share safety and enforcement information, while ships removed from the list will face closer checks.
Yangpu’s maritime authority says it plans to expand the scheme and improve its services.
