NBA and FIBA press ahead with plans for a new European basketball league

NBA and FIBA are working on plans for a new men’s basketball league in Europe.

An NBA executive said the league is being planned to start next year.

Milan’s owner says it is seriously considering creating a team, while a source says Real Madrid’s president wants the project launched soon.

The league could change how top-level basketball is organized in Europe, but its plans are still under discussion.
