Seven NBA Teams Have One Two-Way Contract Opening Each

Seven NBA teams each have one open two-way contract spot ahead of the 2026/27 season.

They are the Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings, and Washington Wizards.

The regular season is scheduled to start on October 20.

NBA teams can have up to three players on two-way contracts, which pay $678,882 this season.

Several players on Exhibit 10 contracts could be considered for the openings, including Devin Carter in Boston and Oscar Tshiebwe and Julian Phillips in Houston.

Houston coach Ime Udoka said the team has four or five candidates in mind.

Teams may choose players who impress in the preseason, but the openings could also go to other young players who are waived in the coming days.
