Long Island Cinema Arts Centre Faces Protests and Cancellations After Co-Director’s Firing

The Cinema Arts Centre fired co-director Dylan Skolnick, saying it believed he had committed serious misconduct.

The board has not explained the allegation in detail, while Skolnick and supporters dispute the decision.

Protests, canceled events and withdrawn support have followed.

The conflict matters because falling revenue could threaten the theater’s future.
