Iranian-American scholar says FBI pressure led him to leave the US

Yousof Azizi, an Iranian-American scholar, says US authorities detained him over his past and his student visa.

He denies ever joining the Basij, an Iranian paramilitary force, and says officials did not show evidence for the claim.

He says he faced pressure to return to Iran and left the United States.

The case raises questions about how immigration rules and security claims can affect people living in the US.
