Fed survey finds rising incomes and wealth, but greater financial strain for some

Most US households had higher incomes and more wealth between 2022 and 2025.

But wealth grew more for richer families, while the net worth of the poorest quarter fell by more than half.

More households struggled with debt payments, and late loan payments became more common.

The findings show that many families did not share equally in the gains.
