BYD studies possible lithium battery plant in Argentina

BYD is looking at whether to make lithium batteries and energy storage systems in Argentina.

The country’s foreign minister said the company is studying investment opportunities after meeting a BYD executive.

No decision, factory location or spending amount has been announced.

If the plan goes ahead, it could add battery production to Argentina’s lithium industry.
