Peugeot unveils electric RCZ concept with solid-state battery

Peugeot has unveiled the RCZ Vision, an electric concept that revives the name of its coupe sold from 2009 to 2015.

The low-slung car is built around a high-voltage system and a solid-state battery developed by Factorial.

Peugeot claims it can travel up to 373 miles and charge from 10% to 80% in 10 minutes.

These figures are claims for the concept, not results from a production car.

The design previews a new direction for Peugeot models, including horizontal lights and a distinctive coupe roofline.

Its unusual Hypersquare steering controller is also planned for the next electric E-208, expected next year.

Peugeot has not said it will put the RCZ Vision into production, so the concept mainly signals the company’s design and technology ambitions.
