Engadget names first best products of 2026 winners
Engadget has announced its first set of best products of 2026, with winners chosen by review scores.
The roundup also revisits reviews of several devices, including Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, a premium Android tablet with a 14-inch screen.
Engadget said the tablet’s display is very large, but so is its price.
Its review of Dell’s XPS 13 found that the version with 16GB of RAM worked much better than the base model with 8GB.
The roundup also covered Qalo’s screenless fitness ring and Una’s GPS watch, which lets users replace parts such as its display and battery.
Engadget viewed the ring as less appealing at its price, while it praised the watch’s repairable design.
Some best-of-2026 categories are not final yet, as product announcements are expected later in the fall.
Engadget published a roundup of recent product reviews and its first group of 2026 best-of winners.
The best-of categories are decided entirely by review scores, with the highest-rated devices receiving the top prize.
Engadget reviewed Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, a premium Android tablet with a 14-inch display.
A retest of Dell’s XPS 13 found that its midrange configuration with 16GB of RAM performed better than the entry-level model with 8GB.
Engadget also reviewed Qalo’s SL-1 screenless fitness tracker and Una’s modular GPS watch, which lets users replace components including its display and battery.

This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
Its 14-inch display is absolutely massive and the only thing bigger than its screen is its price.
I will concede that there's an argument to be made that if a laptop runs so much better with 16GB of RAM, the 8GB model shouldn't even exist,
If the SL-1 was cheaper, I'd have more positive things to say about it, because you could easily see it as a My First Whoop,
Producing a wearable that's affordable, modular and comically easy to repair is no mean feat these days,
This story does not have a timeline yet.
