Many existing iPhone accessories will not fit Apple's foldable Duo
Apple’s iPhone Duo is a foldable phone with different dimensions from traditional iPhones.
That means many existing cases, screen protectors and other fitted accessories will not fit.
USB-C peripherals and most wireless chargers should work, and magnetic MagSafe or Qi2 car mounts generally should too.
Traditional glass screen protectors can crack when the phone folds, so flexible film protectors are a better choice.
Some magnetic accessories may charge or attach but still hang over the phone’s edges.
Apple sells approved third-party accessories, and some manufacturers have made products for the Duo’s shape and folding design.
Apple says a future software update will enable the USB-C Apple Pencil to work with the phone.
Many accessories made for traditional iPhones will not fit Apple’s foldable iPhone Duo because of its different dimensions.
USB-C peripherals and most wireless chargers remain compatible, while many cases, screen protectors, lens accessories and mechanical car mounts will not.
The Duo measures 164.6 by 117.8 by 5.2 mm unfolded and 84.1 by 117.8 by 11.3 mm folded.
Existing MagSafe and Qi2 chargers should generally work, though some accessories may overlap or hang off the phone.
Apple’s online store offers a selection of approved third-party accessories, and manufacturers are also developing products for the Duo’s design.
