Flávio Bolsonaro promises another state debt relief plan

Flávio Bolsonaro promised to revisit state debts if he wins the presidential election.

Minas Gerais’ governor-elect, Cleitinho Azevedo, asked him to let the state turn its monthly debt payments into public works.

A previous debt deal already cut interest for states, with Minas Gerais set to receive a large share of the relief.

Further cuts could reduce federal revenue and increase the country’s debt.
