Zelensky appoints Taras Kachka as Ukraine’s ambassador to the EU

Taras Kachka will represent Ukraine to the EU and the European Atomic Energy Community.

He previously oversaw Ukraine’s work toward joining the EU.

That work included opening two groups of accession talks and agreeing on reforms tied to EU loan payments.

His appointment comes as delays in parliament put some loan payments at risk.
