Halloween candy prices rise 8.1% as shoppers plan $4.1 billion in spending

To manage higher costs, many shoppers plan to compare prices, use coupons or sales, or start shopping early.
Discount stores are the most popular place to shop, followed by specialty Halloween stores and online retailers.
