Magnitude 7.6 earthquake strikes southern Panama

A strong earthquake shook southern Panama on Friday evening.

Some buildings were partly or fully destroyed, but the full extent of the damage is not yet known.

So far, there have been no reports of deaths or injuries.

The quake also sent water sloshing over a hotel pool's edge.
