GOL may reduce flights from São Luís from November

GOL may reduce flights from São Luís from November as it changes its schedule in the Brazilian state of Maranhão.

The planned changes affect routes linking the state capital with São Paulo, Brasília, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro.

The daytime flight to São Paulo’s Guarulhos airport would be removed, while the night flight would remain daily; Brasília’s night service would run on alternate days.

Flights to Salvador and Rio de Janeiro would also be reduced, and some days may have only two daily GOL connections from São Luís.

Fewer flights could limit travel options for work, tourism and onward connections, while the airline industry faces higher fuel costs and airfares that have risen 14.6%.

The November schedule is planned but may still change, according to the information provided.
