SpaceX to buy 800 MHz licenses to expand Starlink Mobile in the US

SpaceX plans to buy licenses to use part of the 800 MHz radio band across the US.

These signals can reach inside buildings, where mobile service is sometimes weak.

Starlink satellites using other spectrum could provide coverage beyond cell towers.

Together, the systems could help Starlink Mobile compete with US phone networks, but the deal still needs approval.
