‘Other Mommy’ review: Jessica Chastain stars in a messy horror film

In “Other Mommy,” a girl meets a creature that looks like her mother.

The creature is tied to sadness in the family home, but one review says the film does little to explore that idea.

Instead, it relies on jump scares and a confusing story.

The reviews describe Chastain’s performance differently, but both note her central role.
