Jharkhand Launches Digital Marketplace for Rural Women Products
Jharkhand, a state in India, is helping women in villages sell their handmade goods online.
The state signed a deal with a company called CSC eStore to create a website where women’s groups can list their products.
This will let more people buy these items and help the women earn more money.
The state also wants to give villages easier access to services like bank accounts and government help through local centers.
They plan to finish this by November 15, so everyone can use these services without traveling far.
Jharkhand signed an MoU with CSC eStore to create a digital marketplace for women’s SHG products.
Products from SHGs, including 'Palash' and 'Adiva', will be sold through CSC’s e‑commerce network.
The initiative aims to expand market access and increase income for rural women, boosting entrepreneurship.
The state plans to extend Aadhaar and other e‑governance services to all panchayats by November 15.
A pact between CSC Special Purpose Vehicle and the Higher and Technical Education Department was also signed.
