AP MEPMA, GoMill Partner to Create 500 Women-Led Millet Enterprises
A government mission in Andhra Pradesh is working with GoMill to help 500 women start millet businesses.
Millet is a grain that can be used to make many foods.
GoMill will help create small food kiosks and shops that sell millet products.
It will also help with recipes, menus, branding, hygiene and running the businesses.
AP MEPMA will help the women connect with banks and government livelihood schemes.
Local teams will help find and support women who are eligible.
Andhra Pradesh is the first state where this programme will be tested.
The organisers hope to create 100 outlets and jobs for 1,500 people.
AP MEPMA and GoMill will support 500 urban Self-Help Group women across Andhra Pradesh.
